HOW THE SOCIETY WAS BORN
The Suit Society was founded by cousins, James Knell and Jonathon Radford, after losing confidence in ill-fitting off the rack suits in 2012. Both tired of stuffy, dark, smoky and expensive tailor houses alienating most young men, they yearned for something different. For the next year, they scoured the globe in search of the perfect master tailors. Eventually, they partnered with prominent Shanghai tailors, with a commitment to superb ethics, fabrics and workmanship. To ensure the fabrics used to craft their garments were suited to the Australian climate, Suit Society sourced fabrics exclusively from English and Italian mills (all being 100 percent wool, super 110 grade or finer).
Fast forward nine years and Suit Society has successfully established itself as a prominent suit company in the Australian market. Starting as a solely Brisbane-based endeavour, its services are now available Australian wide (including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Canberra and Cairns). Suit Society continues to build upon its relationship with its master tailors in Shanghai, with additional fabrics and innovations continually updated to ensure that its over five-hundred members are provided with new and exciting options each season.

Our designs and measuring processes have been developed by our specialist Australian and European trained tailors. It is our specific training and expertise that informs our understanding of what makes the perfect suit (and what best suits Australian trends and climate).
Our stylists can talk you through an abundance of options, with every aspect of the design customisable to your preferences. We have a range of options available, including crown pockets, canvassing, worsted wool, Bemberg lining and more. Our professional stylists will guide you through our selection and assist you to handpick the best features to suit your needs and preferences.
Once you have been measured, our expertly trained tailors work on constructing your suit using a mix of the old school (think hand-sewn detailing) and modern day technology, in our fully integrated micro-factory, to ensure quality control and the perfect fit each time.
COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
For years, Suit Society has continued to support Beyond Blue by donating part of our profits directly to their initiatives. Beyond Blue is one of Australia’s most influential not-for-profit organisations providing much needed assistance to Australians suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Telling our fellow gentlemen that we’re here for them can sometimes mean the start of a tough conversation, whether it be at home or in the workplace. It’s important to make sure we’re comfortable spending time with our friends, co-workers and family, making sure both you, and them, feel connected. Suit Society is proud to partner with Beyond Blue as a corporate sponsor and start these sometimes difficult conversations. We are committed to continuing this partnership and would like to raise additional funds for Beyond Blue’s important initiatives.
