Design, Fittings and Fabrics
Our made-to-measure service is a seamless, two-stage experience designed for your comfort. The journey begins with the first fitting, where our expert fitters guide you through the details of designing your suit. We'll take your initial measurements, carefully considering your proportions, posture, and overall balance.
Once your suit is constructed, we'll invite you back for the final fitting. This is where you try on your suit for the last time, and we make any necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. After that, you're all set to wear your custom-tailored suit with confidence. We also keep your updated measurements on file for future reference.
From your first appointment to your final fitting, the process typically takes between seven to nine weeks. If you're on a tighter schedule, we offer expedited service, reducing the turnaround to six weeks.
For wedding suits, we recommend starting the planning process as early as possible to ensure everything is ready for your big day. The earlier you get started, the fewer last-minute worries you'll have.
Each of our garments is made-to-measure to your exact specifications, so whether you’re ordering just a jacket or a full suit, the timeline remains the same.
We offer a curated selection of the finest fabrics from renowned global makers such as Guabello 1815, Dugdale Bros, Ariston, Dormeuil, Loro Piana, Solbiati, Porter and Harding, and Harrisons of Edinburgh, along with our in-house fabrics. Our range focuses on natural fibres, including wool, cashmere, cotton, linen, and mohair.
- Wool: Our most popular fabric, sourced from Australia and New Zealand, offers versatility and durability. Available in various weights, wool is perfect for both summer and winter suits.
- Cotton: Lightweight, comfortable, and breathable, cotton is a great option for relaxed yet sophisticated suits.
- Linen: Known for its breathable texture and natural elegance, linen suits are perfect for warmer climates and laid-back occasions.
- Blends: Combining the best elements of different fibres, our blends increase durability, sheen, and softness. Common combinations include wool and cashmere or linen and silk.
We use 100% cotton for our shirts, providing comfort, durability, and style. Our cotton options include:
- Twill: A soft, thick weave that's perfect for business shirts, offering a smooth finish and easy maintenance.
- Oxford: A heavier, textured weave that offers a casual yet refined look—ideal for both work and play.
- Poplin: A smooth, light weave perfect for warmer weather, with a slight sheen and excellent drape.
Instead of providing one-size-fits-all wedding packages, we offer a bespoke, made-to-measure service that creates suits tailored to your individual style. Your wedding suit will be a reflection of your personality, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable from the moment you say "I do" to the final dance. As a special gift, we offer the groom a complimentary tailored shirt, adding that perfect finishing touch to your big day.
We recommend allocating about 30 minutes per person for group fittings. This allows us to take measurements and go through design choices for each individual. With plenty of space in our showrooms, your group can relax and enjoy the process.
For smoother scheduling, we suggest the groom come in for a consultation beforehand, so we can finalise the design before the group fitting. This ensures the fitting runs efficiently, keeping everyone focused on getting their measurements.
Due to busy schedules, it's best to book your group fitting well in advance. While we will try to accommodate schedule changes, availability may be limited.
Typically, our process includes two fittings. The first is for measurements and design choices, while the second is for final adjustments and collection.
A consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where you can ask any questions, view fabric options, and learn about the pricing and timeline. Your first fitting, on the other hand, is where the design process begins in earnest. We'll take measurements and start bringing your vision to life.
Our made-to-measure service is appointment-based, ensuring you get the personal attention you deserve. This allows us to focus on your unique needs and create the perfect custom suit.
Unfortunately, we cannot use your own fabric for construction. However, we offer a wide range of design and fabric choices for each garment, allowing you to create a suit that reflects your personal style. Some options include:
- Jackets: Choose from various shoulder structures, lining options, lapel styles, button configurations, pocket styles, vents, and more.
- Trousers: Options for waistbands, pleats, closures, cuffs, and inner braces buttons.
- Shirts: Choose from a variety of collars, cuffs, and monogramming options.
Our jackets are made with a floating half-canvas construction, which offers a soft, natural shape. We offer different canvassing weights based on your preferences, all sourced from Germany for superior breathability and durability. We also offer Fused options for the budget conscious and Full Canvas construction for our members who want the very best.
The Super, such as Super 150, refers to the fineness of the wool used in the fabric. A higher number means finer wool, though it doesn’t necessarily indicate better quality. While finer wool feels soft, it may not be as durable for everyday wear. The ideal S number depends on your personal preferences and how you intend to wear your suit.

Purchasing a second pair of trousers helps extend the life of your suit. Trousers experience a lot of wear and tear, so rotating between two pairs ensures that your suit will last longer and stay looking fresh.
Our suits are created using a combination of old-world craftsmanship and modern technology. The main construction takes place in our Shanghai workshop, where we use advanced Gerber laser technology for precise fabric cutting. The linings, canvassing, and shoulder construction are sourced from top artisans in Europe.
After testing facilities across various countries, we selected our Shanghai manufacturer for its exceptional quality. The final finishing touches are completed in our showrooms by our expert tailors, ensuring you receive outstanding craftsmanship and remarkable value.
Suits
To ensure your suit lasts, we recommend rotating it regularly. A second pair of trousers is a great option to help maintain the shape and longevity of your suit. When hanging your suit, use a wide hanger that supports the shoulders.
For small stains, gently spot clean with a damp cloth. If your suit needs a refresh, a simple press can often do the job. Avoid dry cleaning too frequently, as the harsh chemicals can damage the fabric over time. When dry cleaning is necessary, be sure to find a reputable cleaner and ask them to wrap your buttons in foil to prevent cracking.
If your trousers' hem becomes undone, don’t worry – simply bring them to us, and we’ll take care of it in no time.
Shirts
Dry cleaning can damage shirts, so we recommend cold machine or hand washing at temperatures below 30°C to preserve the fabric. This will help maintain both the quality and the buttons.
Shoes
To extend the life of your shoes, avoid wearing the same pair every day. Regularly clean, condition, and polish them to keep them looking their best. After each wear, use a shoe brush to remove dirt, and consider using cedar shoe trees to absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
